New paper in Biological Conservation

We are pleased to announce a new publication “Content analysis of nature documentaries in China: Challenges and opportunities to raise public conservation awareness” in Biological Conservation, led by Haonan Wei, a former honours student at translatE!

In this study, we investigated the challenges and opportunities for nature documentaries in China to raise public conservation awareness, by assessing their thematic, geographical, and taxonomic coverages. We found that Chinese-language nature documentaries provide unique information on biodiversity and ecosystems in China, highlighting their role in raising conservation awareness in China and worldwide.

This is the very first paper for Haonan, based on her honours project – big congratulations Haonan! Haonan watched ~300 nature documentaries for this work. What a job!
