Abstract

본 연구는 시화호 인공습지 조성 후 이 지역에 도래 , 서식하는 조류군집의 특성과 시간이 경과함에 따른 변화 양상을 파악하고 조류서식지로서 인공습지의 관리방안을 모색하고자 2000년 5월부터 2002년 1월까지 실시되었다. 조사 기간 동안 관찰된 조류는 총 종이었다. 전반적으로 1차 년도에는 적은 수의 종이 적은 개체수로 고르게 관찰되었으며 , 2차 년도에는 종 수와 개체수가 증가하는 양상을 보였다 . 특히 도요물떼새류와 맹금류의 증가율이 높게 나타났다 . 시간 경과에 따른 조류의 증가 현상에 대한 원인을 명확히 판단하기 위해서는 앞으로 지속적인 모니터링이 필요할 . 현재로서는 시화호 인공습지 지역 , 특히 담수 습지는 도요 물떼새류 보다 수면성 오리류의 서식에 보다 적합한 서식환경을 제공하는 것으로 판단된다 . 시화호 인공습지는 현재 갈대밭과 담수습지의 단순한 환경으로 구성되어 있다. 따라서 다양한 조류가 도래할 수 있도록 다음과 같이 서식 환경의 다양성을 높이는 습지 관리방안이 필요할 것으로 생각된다 . 1) , 2) 다양한 종의 습지식물이 생육하는 환경을 조성 , 3) 일정면적에 모래밭이나 자갈밭, 초지 등을 조성할 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다 .

English Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the changing pattern of the bird community after the construction of artificial wetland at Sihwah lake from may 2000 to January 202. Total seventy seven bird species were recorded at Sihwa artificial wetland area during the survey. Number of the bird species and individuals were increas ed in second year than first survey year. Especially shorebirds and raptors were more increased than other groups. Long-term and con-eeded to clarify the reasons of increasing pat-tern of bird species and individuals in artificial wetlands of Sihwa lake. Until now, this area hasbeen considered as suitable habitat for dabbling ducks than shorebirds and has simple habitat environment consisting of open water surface and reed beds. Therefore, we suggest the follows for creation of diverse habitat types: 1) seasonal water-level manipulation 2) management of diverse aquatic plants and 3) creation of diverse land cover; sandy fields, gravelly fields, grasslands, etc.
