Abstract

English Abstract

The deer box trap, having a frame of angle iron with the side and top of nylon net, was constructed and tested in the Kinkazan Island, Miyagi Prefecture, from September to November 1976. Twenty-one trap-days were required to capture a deer by five traps. By covering a trap with a sheet, trapped deer were calmed without injury. Two traps set on the frequent deer trails were more effective in capture.
