Abstract

Auf einer verschilfften Parzelle mit Molinion-Restarten, einem austriebsschnitt und einem Räumschnitt wurden 10 Jahre lang Schilffhalme morphometrisch erfasst. Die Halmzahl verminderte sich statistisch signifikant (P = 0,01) und hat sich auf unter 20 Halme/m² eingependelt. Dies gilt auch für die Zahl blühender Halme, Blütenstands-, Halm-, und Blattlängen sowie Blattbreiten. Änderungen der Vegetation betreffen den Rückgang dominater Arten, das Aufkommen typischer Streuwiesenpflanzen und die Zunahme konkurrenzschwacher Arten. Zum Ende der Versuchsperiode wird der Bestand in Zusammensetzung und produzierter Biomasse (23dt/ha) als charakteristisch für Streuwiesen betrachtet.

English Abstract

Over a period of 10 years, a cutting regime of early mowing plus autumn mowing was applied to a patch of Molinion vegetation overcrowded with common reed in order to gather morphometric data of the reed. The number of blades dropped to a statistically significant degree (P=0.01), stabilizing at approx. 20 pcs/m². This also applied to the number of flowering blades , the length of inflorescences, blades and leaves and the breadth of leaves. The vegetation has changed in terms of a decrease of dominant species, the emergence of typical Molinion species and an increase of less competitive species. At the end of the trial period the patch can be considered typical of fen meadows with respect to biomass and species composition.
