English Abstract

No Abstract. A total of 60 animal species were recorded in the restored marshes (34 of birds and 26 of macroinvertebrates). Among these, 8 species of protected birds: the black-footed plover (Charadrius alexandrinus), the osprey (Pandion haliaetus), the little tern (Sterna albifrons), the spatula (Platalea leucorodia), the cormorant
shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis), the marsh harrier (Circus aeruginosus), the curlew (Numenius arquata), the black-winged marlin (Limosa limosa) and the kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) were fed in the restored marshes. The ecological diversity (H ‘) of the bird community varied between 1.13 and 1.77. During the low tide, the restored marshes showed higher H ‘and fairness (J) and lower dominance (D) in the bird community than the marshes not restored.
