Abstract

Cette étude a été conduite dans la région d’Ouled Chéhida située dans le sud tunisien. Elle a été consacrée à l’évaluation de l’impact de l’exploitation (pâturage) sur la dynamique du couvert végétal de différents types de parcours de la région. Les variations du taux de recouvrement, la densité des espèces, la diversité spécifique ainsi que la valeur pastorale aussi bien au niveau des parcours exploités qu’au niveau des parcours mis en repos, ont été observées. Les résultats de cette étude montrent que les différents paramètres étudiés varient énormément d’un parcours à l’autre en fonction du degré de perturbation et que la mise en repos s’avère très bénéfique pour l’ensemble des paramètres et ce malgré la forte aridité édapho-climatique caractérisant la région d’étude.

English Abstract

This study was carried out in the region of Ouled Chehida located in the Tunisian south. It aims at
assessing the impact of the exploitation (grazing) on the dynamic of plant cover of various types of
rangelands of the region. The variations of the cover rate, the species density, specific diversity as
well as the grazing value both in grazed and rested rangelands were observed. The results of this
study show that all observed parameters vary enormously from one rangeland type to another
according to the degree of disturbance and that the practice of the rest technique seems to be very
beneficial for the whole of parameters and this in spite of the high soil and climatic aridity.
