Abstract

W Nadleśnictwie smolarz w Puszczy Drawskiej (NW Polska) porównano starodrzewy dębowo-bukowe (>120 lat) chronione od 25 lat w rezerwacie przyrody z drzewostanami o podobnym wieku i składzie poddanymi gospodarce leśnej, pod kątem zasobów rozkładającego się drewna i mikro-siedlisk nadrzewnych. sondażowo rozpoznano faunę chrząszczy saproksylicznych. stan zasobów roz-kładającego się drewna w drzewostanach gospodarczych jest skrajnie niski (0,59m3/ha), podczas gdy po 25 latach biernej ochrony w rezerwacie zasoby zregenerowały się do ponad 25m3/ha. Zagęszczenie mikrosiedlisk nadrzewnych w rezerwacie jest niemal trzykrotnie wyższe niż w sąsiadujących staro-drzewiach poddanych gospodarce leśnej. W rezerwacie stwierdzono występowanie kilku unikatowych gatunków chrząszczy saproksylicznych, w tym pachnicy dębowej Osmoderma eremita.

English Abstract

Old oak-beech forest stands (>120 years old) protected in a nature reserve were compared to stands of similar age and species composition, which were under forest management, in terms of the abundance of deadwood and tree microhabitats. The research was conducted in the smolarz Forest District in the Drawa Forest(NW Poland). Preliminary survey of saproxylic beetle fauna was underta-ken. In the managed forest the volume of deadwood was extremely low (0.59 m3/ha), while within the reserve, after 25 years of non intervention management, the volume has regenerated to over 25 m3/ha. The abundance of tree microhabitats was almost three times higher than in the adjacent managed tree stands. several unique saproxylic beetle species, including Hermit beetle Osmoderma eremita, were recorded in the reserve.
