Abstract

Ein entwässertes Waldmoor in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern wurde im Jahr 2003 durch Aufstau bis 1,3 m über Flur revitalisiert. Bereits drei Jahre später wurde an diesem neuen Gewässer ein großes bodenständiges Vorkommen von L. pectoralis gefunden. Die FFH-Art musste das Habitat trotz der versteckten Lage im Wald sehr rasch und mit vielen Individuen besiedelt haben. Die Situationsanalyse ergab, dass Wälder für L. pectoralis keine Ausbreitungsbarriere darstellen und individuenreiche Vorkommen in unmittelbarer Nähe für eine rasche Kolonisation nicht zwingend erforderlich sind. Die Revitalisierung von Waldmooren ist in der Region mit wenigen Konflikten verbunden und es werden relativ geringe finanzielle Mittel benötigt. Diese günstigen Ausgangsbedingungen sollten verstärkt zum Schutz und zur Förderung dieser Art genutzt werden.

English Abstract

Rapid colonisation with considerable density of individuals of a revitalized forest mire by
Leucorrhinia pectoralis (Odonata: Libellulidae) — In 2003 a drained forest mire in Mecklenburg-
Pomerania, Germany, was revitalized by damming up the water to a maximum
depth of 1.3 m. Three years later a large indigenous population of L. pectoralis was recorded
at the new water body. In spite of the cryptic situation of the revitalized habitat many individuals
must have found it promptly. Forests around the habitats do not constitute dispersal
barriers for the sp., which is endangered in central Europe, and large occurrences nearby are
not a prerequisite for colonizing new habitats. As in this region the revitalisation of mires is
associated with few conflicts of interest and only little financial support is needed, this measure
is recommended for the protection and promotion of L. pectoralis.
