Abstract

Zu Beginn des 90er Jahre war die Bestandssituation des Laubfrosches in Luxemburg sehr schlecht. Insegesamt gab es im ganzen Land nur noch 3 besiedelte Gewässer . Im Rahmen einen Kleingewässerschutzprogrammes wurden im Zentrum Luxemburgs seit 194 gezielte Biotopverbesserungsmaßnahmen für den Laubfrosch durchgeführt. Die Anzahl geeigneter Gewässer wurde von 5 vor den Maßnahmen auf insgesamt 45 bis zum Jahr 1998 erhöht. Bereits im Jahr nach den ersten Maßnahmen besiedelte der Laubfrosch vier neuangelegte resp. opitimierte Gewässer. Im Jahr 1998 konnten wieder an 17 Gewässern rufende Männchen festgestellt werden. Mit einer Gesamtpopulation von inzwischen ca. 100 rufenden Männchen ist der Bestand jedoch immer noch gering. Mit Hilfe weiterer Schutzmaßnahmen soll in den nächsten Jahren versucht werden, wieder ein Bestandsniveau von etwa 500 Männchen zu erreichen.

English Abstract

At the beginning of the 1990s, the stituation of the tree frog population in Luxembourg was very poor. Overall, there were only three populated waters in the country. Within the framework of a program for the protection of small water bodies, targeted biotope improvement measures have been implemented in the center of Luxembourg since 1994. The number of suitable waters was increased from 5 before the measures to a total of 45 by the year 1998. Already in the year after the first measures the frog colonised four new or opitimised water bodies. In 1998, calling males were noted in 17 waters. However, with a total population of about 100 calling males the population is still low. With the help of further protective measures, it will be attempted to reach a population level of about 500 males in the next few years.
