No Abstract. After a fire it was implemented a restoration program  leaving an area as a control site of natural regeneration.  The restoration program consisted of: 1) implementation of soil retention works with burned tree material
following contour lines, 2) planting of seedlings of P. pseudostrobus at a density of 2000 individuals / ha, with replacement of dead plant during 5 years (1999-2004), 3) elimination of competing vegetation of the plantation of P. pseudostrobus during the period 1999-2003, and 4) pruning of the stems of the base of the trunk of Quercus sp., leaving only the one that presented the best diametric characteristics.
