Abstract

A Pest megyei Farmos határában 2004 óta zajlik a kétéltűmentési akció, a közúti gázolások csökkentése érdekében. A kétéltűek telelő- és szaporodóhelyét a 311-es műút választja el, óriási veszélynek kitéve a tavasszal nagy tömegben vonuló állatokat. A Duna-Ipoly Nemzeti Park Igazgatóság munkatársai több mint 10 éve szervezik a mentést önkéntesek bevonásával, mely egyben számos adatot szolgáltat az itt élő kétéltű populációk monitorozásához. Az egy évtizedes munka során 348 491 kétéltűt gyűjtöttünk be terelőkerítés és vödörcsapdák segítségével és vittünk át az út túloldalára, többségében barna ásóbékákat (97 %).

English Abstract

Amphibian rescue has been performed since 2004 near the village of Farmos, Central Hungary to mitigate road kills. The wintering and the breeding area of amphibians are separated by the Road 311, decimating animals migrating in huge quantities. Mitigating actions, organized by employees of the Duna-Ipoly National Park Directorate, also provide data for monitoring local amphibian populations. During one decade more than 348 491 amphibian individuals were collected by drift fence and pitfall traps, and were transported in buckets to the other side of the road. The overwhelming majority (97 %) of them were common spadefoot toads.
