Abstract

Die Wiederansiedlung von Laubfröschen wird beschrieben, sowie eine besondere Art von Laichgewässern, eine sogenannte Sommer-Überschwemmungswiese, die sich als recht erfolgreich erwiesen hat. Nachdem von 1984 bis 1986 jedes Jahr 2.000 bis 2.500 Kaulquappen in einem Teich ausgestzt wurden, entwickelte sich im Laufe von 12 Jahren eine Meta-Population mit 19 Rufgewässern, davon 11 Fortflanzungsgewässer, die ein Gebiet von ca. 40 km² einnimmt. Die grundsätzlichen Probleme von Wiederansiedlungen werden behandelt und es wird empfohlen, daran hohe Anforderungen zu stellen. Um die Verbreitung der Laubfrösche zu fördern und zu stabilisieren, wird eine Art von Biotopmanagement empfohlen. Mögliche Einwände gegen solch ein Management werden diskutiert.

English Abstract

Successful recolonization of tree-frogs (Hyla arborea) since 1984 in the “Landkreis Rotenburg”, Niedersachsen. Information about the recolonization of Hyla arborea is given along with the discription of a special kind of waterbody, a so called summer flood meadow, which turned out to be rather successful. After the input of 2,000-2,500 tadpoles every year from 1984-1986 into a pond, a widespread metapopulation was established in the course of 12 years, covering an area of about 40km² and containing 19 waterbodies with calling males; of this total 11 proved to have produced young tree frogs in late summer. The fundamental problems of recolonization are delt with, and it is proposed to set the standards high. To support and maintain the spreadout of tree frogs one kind of biotopmanagemant is recommended. Possible objections to such a management are discussed.
