Abstract

In den Jahren 1990-1994 wurden im südlichen Teil der NSG „Alter Rhein bei Bienen-Praest, Millinger und Hurler Meer" Siedlungsdichteuntersuchungen der Brutvögel und Bruter-folgskontrollen der Wasservögel durchgeführt. In den ersten beiden Jahren wurde das Gewässer intensiv beangelt. Obwohl eine Reihe von Wasservogelpaaren zur Brut schritt, blieb ein Bruterfolg aus. Dies besserte sich drastisch mit der Einstellung des Angelsports. Ferner profitierten auch Singvogelarten der Uferzone von dieser Entwicklung, wie ein Vergleich der Revierzahlen ergibt. Damit konnte erneut der negative Einfluß des Angelsports auf die Avizönose eines naturnahen Gewässers aufgezeigt werden.

English Abstract

Between 1990 and 1994 censuses of breeding birds were undertaken in the southern part of the nature reserve
‘Altrhein Bienen-Praest’ and ‘Millinger und Hurler Meer’. In addition the breeding success rate was analyzed. In the first two years intensive angling took place in the river. Although a number of waterfowl started breeding, their offspring failed
to fledge. This improved dramatically after termination of the angling. The numbers of breeding pairs of the passeres indi-
cate that they also benefitted by this development. The present investigation shows the negative influence of the angling
an the avicenosis (bird life) of natural waters.
