Abstract

本研究では, ブナ科樹種9種の種子の発芽温度特性を検討した。アラカシ, シラカシ, アカガシは低温湿層で長期保存すると発芽速度が増加し, シラカシとアカガシは発芽率も増加した。コナラ, スダジイでは長期保存により発芽率, 発芽速度は低下した。ウラジロガシ, イチイガシは, それぞれ23℃と16℃で発芽率発芽速度ともに最大となり, クヌギは9~30℃の範囲で発芽率が80%以上であった。マテバシイは30℃で発芽速度が, 9℃で最終発芽率が最大となった。本研究で供試した樹種において, 種子発芽に与える温度の影響は樹種により異なった。また, 種子の産地の違いが, 樹種ごとの発芽温度特性に与える影響は, 見いだせなかった。

English Abstract

In order to clarify the effects of storage term and post-storage temperature on germi tion of the seeds of nine species in Fagaceae, germi tion speed and germi tion rate were examined using the seeds stored under a wet (75%RH) and cold (4°C) condition. Experimental conditions were as follows.(1) Post-storage temperature: 9°C, 16°C, 23°, 30°C and 35°C.(2) Storage term: long (127-175 days) and short (15-70 days).
Germi tion speed and germi tion rate of Quercus myrsi efolia and Q. acuta were higher in long-term storage. Germi tion speed of Q. glauca was higher in long-term storage. On the other hand, germi tion speed and germi tion rate of Q. serrata and Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii were lower in long-term storage.
Germi tion speed and germi tion rate of Q. salisi were the highest at 23°C, and those of Q. gilva were the highest at 16°C. Germi tion rate of Q. acutissima under temperatures between 9 and 30°C were over 80%. Germi tion speed and germi tion rate of Pasania edulis were the highest at 9°C and 30°C, respectively. Each species of Fagaceae had their own germi tion characteristics affected by temperature. And geographical difference of germi tion characteristics within a species were not clear.
