Abstract

In alcuni corsi d’acqua di categoria “D” (Zona omogenea per la gestione di salmonidi e timallidi, in particolare trota fario e temolo, da L.R. 11/93 – Art. 8 della Regione Emilia-Romagna) della Provincia di Reggio Emilia sono state istituite da alcuni anni ”Zone a Regime Speciale di Pesca (ZRSP)”, nelle quali vengono applicate norme più restrittive rispetto a quelle normalmente vigenti. In particolare, nelle ZRSP del Torrente Ozola e del Torrente Riarbero (affluenti di destra del Fiume Secchia) è possibile prelevare giornalmente non più di tre soggetti di trota fario, Salmo (trutta) trutta, di misura non inferiore a 24 cm di lunghezza totale. Tale provvedimento, in via di progressiva estensione ad altri corsi d’acqua di elevata qualità ambientale, è soprattutto finalizzato alla tutela delle residue popolazioni naturali di trota fario di presunto “ceppo mediterraneo”. Dai dati emersi in occasione dei campionamenti effettuati in questi corsi d’acqua per la realizzazione della Carta Ittica Regionale si era già evidenziato un notevole miglioramento sia nella struttura che nelle densità e nelle biomasse medie delle popolazioni dei salmonidi presenti, rispetto a quando negli stessi non esisteva la ZRSP. Da questo studio si è parimenti osservato, mediante più recenti campionamenti effettuati con pesca elettrica, che la situazione è migliorata anche sotto l’aspetto della quantità dei soggetti con fenotipo riconducibile a quello delle popolazioni mediterranee della trota fario. Ciò grazie anche ad interventi mirati alla reintroduzione, in aree di particolare tutela, esclusivamente del novellame di trota fario prodotto dagli incubatoi provinciali dalla spremitura di riproduttori selvatici. In tale ottica ben si presta una moderna e razionale gestione delle risorse alieutiche, finalizzata ad un razionale prelievo ed al mantenimento dei ceppi autoctoni.

English Abstract

In some “D” category watercourses of the Province of Reggio Emilia (homogeneous area for salmonoids and thymallids, brown trout and grayling in particular, Regional Law 11/93 – Art.8 of Emilia Romagna Region) “Special Fishing Regulation Areas(ZRSP)” have been created in the past few years. In these areas much more strict regulations are applied if compared to the general law in force. In particular, in the ZRSPs of the stream Ozola and of the stream Riarbero (right affluents of the river Secchia) it is possible to capture no more than 3 brown trout, Salmo (trutta) trutta, and the minimum total length of each fish must be 24 cm. These measures are being progressively extended even to other watercourses of high environmental quality first of all aim at protecting the remaining natural populations of brown trout of presumed “Mediterranean stock”. The data collected from the sampling carried out in these watercourses to create a Regional Ichthyic Map had already shown a remarkable improvement both in the structure, in the density and in the average biomasses of the present salmonoid populations if compared with the results obtained when only the general Regional regulations were in force in the same areas before the creation of ZRSPs. Through more recent sampling carried out by electric fishing it has also been noticed that the situation has improved even as regards the quantity of subjects with a phenotype referable to the one belonging to the Mediterranean populations of brown trout. This result has been achieved thanks to interventions aiming at reintroducing exclusively the brown trout fingerlings obtained from the artificial insemination of wild breeders in the Provincial hatchery in specially protected areas. To this purpose it is important to maintain a modern and rational management of the fishing resources in order to carry out rational sampling and preserve autochthonous stocks.
