English Abstract
An attempt to estimate the fresh egg weight from egg linear dimentions (length and breadth) was made for the Hazel Grouse Terastes bo sia by using an equation
Weight (g)=Kw×length (cm)×breadth (cm)2
where Kw is a weight coefficient. Weight coefficient 0.527 was calculated based on 171 fresh eggs obtained in captivity and the coefficient of variation was 2.5%
